The five International Coconut Genebanks (ICG) are as follows:
- for Latin America and the Caribbean in Brazil (ICG-LAC)
- for Africa and the Indian Ocean in Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) (ICG-AIO)
- for South Asia and the Middle East in India (ICG-SAME)
- for South East Asia in Indonesia (ICG-SEA), and
- for the South Pacific in Papua New Guinea (PNG) (ICG-SP)
Due to ICC/COGENT resource constraints, the Appraisal Team was initially limited to two persons. The International Coconut Community (ICC) has appointed Appraisal Team members and COGENT-linked scientists will be approached to participate in the appraisals. The composition of the Appraisal Teams for the ICGs is given below:
